A little bit about myself
Hello and thank you for visiting. I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and came to the United States at three weeks old. For those who might not know, "cochera" means "garage" in Spanish. When designing this site I thought the name Greg’s Cochera would be a perfect fit and place for me to exhibit my artwork.
I've always had a deep passion for a variety of collectable objects including automobiles, and motorcycles. Not only do I appreciate them but it also shows through my paintings and drawings. I love combining my interests in different collectibles with my artistic vision and glorifying them. If it's a car, I don't just see an ordinary dull or shiny vehicle. I see the whole spectrum of cool and warm colors, shades and highlights. Whether it’s coming from a street lamp at night or sun during the day, I'm always fascinated by the effects of light as it bounces off an object. For example, if an automobile is under a tree or a motorcycle has a transparent headlamp there could be so many variables at any given time. No matter what, there are countless amounts of details that make up a rich palette and I love capturing that through my artwork. I enjoy exploring different techniques and utilizing an array of mediums as well. My process can vary depending on the project but it usually includes painting on wooden panels with acrylic and then sealed with a polyurethane resin. The result is magnificent and the finished artwork really comes to life. My artwork is currently showcased within some of the most impressive collections.
Feel free to contact me if you're interested in purchasing my artwork, collaborating or if you simply want to say hello.
I appreciate your interest in my art,
Greg Silverman
